How to adjust drainage slope of flat roof.
Revit gutter adjust slope.
If it is improperly pitched you will need to adjust the gutter slope.
At the downspout end of the length of gutter and from the top of the fascia measure the amount of slope needed.
You can also select the lower outside edge of the fascia.
Create ribbon sweep.
Only the chain of edges can be selected for the roof.
Put a temporary screw at the back to adjust the pitch.
Next place a ladder at the left side of the house and measure from the roof down to the gutter.
Get on a ladder after a rainstorm and look in the gutter.
For example if the gutter is 16 feet long the end near the down spout must be 1 inch lower than the starting end.
Working out gutter slope as a general rule gutter slope is set at 1 4 inch per 10 feet of guttering.
Gutters need to be pitched toward the downspouts for the water to flow properly.
This means the downspout end of the gutter should be set 3 4 of an inch lower than the other end.
Remove no more than three hangers.
You want at least a quarter inch of slope for every 10 feet.
If there s standing water it s not pitched properly.
When you press tab revit cycles through available selections and then highlights the chain of edges.
Or another option is add another down pipe in the area where is affected.
Then use a pencil to make a mark.
Multiply the number of feet by 1 16 inch to determine the total slope the gutter requires.
Unfortunately you may to or get a roof plumber to take the gutter that is needed off and hopefully adjust it enough with out taking to much off.
Pull the gutter down about 3 quarters of an inch lower than it originally was.
Architecture ribbon component model in place.
Ask someone to hold the gutter while you loosen and remove the gutter brackets or hangers.
Readjust the top of the gutter so that it lines up with the pencil mark then reattach and tighten them.
Model your roof in this example a skillion roof with 45 degree edge.
How much of the gutter are you wanting fall.
Modify sweep ribbon pick path.
