Use an epoxy kit to fill the crack between slabs of granite on your counter.
Repair broken granite slab.
In order to make the repair blend in with the rest of the slab you will need to color the glue to match it.
If you do it yourself then make sure you clean the area before applying the glue.
In addition to the repair we also offer our proprietary watermist spot polish treatment on your granite which will remove fine surface scratches discoloration and or dullness from this particular affected area or any other areas on your countertop surface that you are unable to remove with normal cleaning measures.
Mix the epoxy according to the package instructions and select a color that will closely match your granite so it is less visible once dry.
Scrub with a nylon scrub pad to remove stubborn deposits.
Apply it to the granite counter focusing on the broken edge.
Wipe down the granite with a fresh dry towel to.
Let the granite completely dry.
Wipe over the granite with the acetone to remove all oil dirt and other contaminants.
To create granite dust use a grinder with a diamond grinding bit to go over the surface of a matching piece of granite.
This is done by using some of the granite to color the glue.
Carefully fill in the seam again moving back to front and wipe off any excess as you go.
Often you can repair a separated crack in the granite countertop by filling in the gaps with an epoxy glue that matches the color of the stone.
Brush away any excess particles of granite with your hands.
Use a sponge dipped in fresh water to remove the soap.
Most stone repair experts recommend methyl ethyl ketone for this step.
Dish soap with 1 gallon water to make a light cleaning solution.
Some granite professionals even use some of the granite dust from where the break occurs to color the epoxy glue.
